Dear Potential Exhibitor/Participant,

We cordially invite you to consider participating in the S3 Food Symposium on Food Systems & Public Health to be held May 10-12, 2017 at The Westin Long Beach, in downtown Long Beach.  The S3 Symposium is currently welcoming sponsors, exhibitors, and/or participants in the Taste of Local Fare.

The S3 Food Symposium is a collaborative forum made up of environmental health professionals, regulators, food producers, academia and others interested in enhancing their understanding of the links between agricultural production, seafood harvest, food processing, food security, food safety, and environmental sustainability. The symposium brings a wide range of food systems, public health and environmental interests together for three days of highly informative interdisciplinary presentations and panel discussions. All of these topics come alive with the innovative field trips offered in the preconference. Most recently, the 2015 S3 Symposium was held in Sacramento County and had over 480 in attendance. 

This year’s theme for the S3 Food Symposium is “Charting a New Course in Food Systems and Environmental Health in a Changing World”. Our Thursday keynote speaker is Dr. Jerry Schubel, Aquarium of the Pacific, President and CEO. Dr. Schubel will provide a profound talk on the future of food and the relationship of our ocean’s health and our food supply.
